Our new release 2026.2 offers many major improvements in usability and visualisation.

Highlights of the new release
FIRST multi body simulation:
Input reading for parallel processes accelerated
Reduced amount of memory needed for parallel jobs
FST-bearings:
Generalized inertial effects from body rotations and accelerations on fluid
Turbulence models: Constantinescu or Mittwollen
TEHD:
Artificial diffusion optional to avoid strong temperature oscillations
Additional options for Temperature boundary conditions
Enabled output of heat flux into bodies when using the 'notb'-option
Reduced heat flow in partially filled areas proportional to degree of fill when combined with Kumar-Booker
Enhanced heat flux distribution based on CFD results optional
Additional time-scaling for temperature integration to improve efficiency in static load cases
Improved convergence of pure thermal iterations in TEHD applications
Abamat:
Abaqus now supported for full TEHD simulations on Linux systems
abatmo: Special user element to enable the calculation of thermal modes needed for the reduction of thermal calculation in bodies. Includes calculation of thermal displacements.
abasim: New technique for reductions removing the low node count limit from hred-steps (Craigh-Bampton). Also available in xreduk GUI.
Job handling using XPre:
New job manager UI allows job queues from XPre
Plot functions and curves in multiple windows with new gnuplot version (6.0)
Jump to Xvtk 3D model by pressing 'Show in 3D model' from the card context menue
Visualisation using XVtk:
View your hydroregion definitions from boundary conditions and contours for all metrics
Visualize various cards as symbols (coupling, drive, load, gears, rollerbearing, electromagnetic forces)
View card parameters in the info section
Jump to card definition in XPre by pressing 'edit' from the tree context menue
Postprocessing using XPost/Gnuplot:
Updated included gnuplot version (6.0)
New options GUI to customize gnuplot plots
Improved controls for animations and color plots
Multiple tabs to control multiple gnuplot instances
